Champagne taste on a beer budget
I must admit that I was quite dubious of trying the Australis Midas Touch Primer but I'm so glad I did! I first thought that it wouldn't be any good thanks to its price-point or the fact that a lot of Australis products don't work well with my oily skin. The Midas Touch was so easy to apply with the dropper, I used half a dropper on each of the cheeks, then another half for the rest of the face. It felt like a serum but the glycerine started working about a minute after applying. I was so impressed how fast it sunk into the skin.
I have trialled it under three foundations : Rimmel's Breathable 24hr (medium coverage), Maybelline Superstay 24hr (full coverage) and Revolution Fast Base stick (looks great but doesn't hold up on my oily skin for too long). The Midas Touch primer worked well with all three foundations; there was no patchiness, smoothed texture and even gave me another hour before the Revolution Fast Base started transferring.
I will definitely be using this product in the future!
Try to shake it well before use as the gold can sometimes settle a bit.
It worked well on my oily skin but if you're super oily you might want to use in conjunction with a mattifying primer.
